OSI GROUP THE MOST SUCCESSFUL GLOBAL FOOD PROCESSING COMPANY

OSI group, formerly OSI industries, was established in 1909 as a food processing industry. Its headquarters is at Aurora, Illinois in the United States. Since its establishment and opening of first market in Chicago, the industry has dedicated itself to customers’ satisfaction.

OSI Group provides its services to both wholesale and catering industries. It’s famous for products such as hot dogs, meat pies, cooked bacon, fish, fresh plant products and raw and processed poultry products. These products have been used for banquets, side dishes, appetizers, breakfasts, puddings and lunches.

Due to their quality products and services, OSI Group has seen growth throughout its period of operation. This progress has been achieved through its dedication in embracing new technologies among them the use of robotics in automation of transportation from refrigerated food stores to packaging facilities.

In 2015, OSI Group established five more plants to expand its original mono-facility pilot program after cooperating with Cascade Energy, Portland in improving energy efficiency. Their success in the food processing industry has also enabled them to make several purchases.

In the month of June, 2016, the company bought a 200 000 squire foot company which was initially controlled by Tyson Foods. In the same month, the company purchased another food processing plant by the name Baho Foods. Baho Foods had five supplementary companies which operated in Germany and the Netherlands. These companies were involved in marketing and selling of sandwich meats, snacks and tertiary processed foods.

In December, 2016, the group made a third company purchase in the same year by purchasing The Flagship Europe Company which was owned by the Flagship Food Group. This company supplied sous vide products, Mayonnaise, pies, frozen poultry and sauces to the UK market.

In 2017, OSI group has made several progresses among them the purchase of the Hynek Schlachthof GmbH (deals with slaughter of beef in Tauberbischofsheim, Germany), opening of a new meat processing plant in the Philippines (deals with fish, beef and chicken products) and the most recent increase of Toledo, Spain, plants production capacity which has made produce greater than 45 000 tons of chicken, pork and beef products.
