Shervin Pishevar crazy 21-hour Twitter rant

Shervin Pishevar is an Iranian-American entrepreneur and investor. Pishevar is the co-founder and manager of Sherpa Capita, a fund management company that has invested in companies such as Airbnb and Uber. He is currently a strategic advisor to Uber.

Shervin Pishevar, son of Abraham Pishevar, a famous radio executive, was born in Iran. Shervin Pishevar left the country abruptly after government officials put his father on Ayatollah Khomeini’s execution list for sharing video footage on how to flee the country. Pishevar became a cab driver in Maryland, where his family later joined him.

Shervin Pishevar is a man that takes pride in voicing his opinions. Colleagues have known him as a man of many words, so it is no surprise that he took to Twitter to share his thoughts on bitcoin, immigration, and Elon Musk’s company Tesla.

Shervin Pishevar’s 21-hour tweet storm on Twitter is important.

Here, I have recapped a summary of what Pishevar had to say on Twitter earlier this year.

1) The market has lost all hope of collecting gains in 2018 and 2017.

2) Every asset class has been overestimated.

3) Inflation does not exist. This country has managed to outsource inflation for several years now.

4) There is uncertainty coming from the capital of the United States with every major global deal.

5) The era of cheap money has come and gone. The stock market is crashing.

6) Bitcoin will continue to lose value, but stay solid at $2-5k.

7) Entrepreneurship is a worldwide movement. Silicon Valley has lost some of its competitive advantage over other areas of innovation.

8) Space travel companies like SpaceX + Virgin Hyperloop One will be laughed at until the technology becomes a reality.

Alex Pall And The Chainsmokers Try Something New

Finding success in the music industry, especially international success, is incredibly rare. Most artists struggle in futility, trying to build an audience night after night, if they are ever able to achieve some level of notoriety, it would be understandable to keep up the formula that got them to that point. Alex Pall and his DJ duo the Chainsmokers have achieved that incredibly difficult task, growing from a semi-popular New York City DJ into an international touring sensation. But that does not mean Alex and his colleague Andrew Taggart are going to keep making the same music that brought them their initial fame.

Alex Pall was a part-time DJ in the NYC club scene when a faithful set at an art gallery opening lead to him quitting his full-time job and devoting himself to making a career out of music. Having already established The Chainsmokers as a duo, his original partner decided to leave the group and he was left looking for someone new. Enter Andrew Taggart, a college student from northern New York who was introduced to Alex Pall through Alex’s manager. After a dinner to meet the two went back to Alex’s NYC apartment to try making music together. Andrew never left, and they spent months creating music day and night before breaking out with singles like “Roses” and “Don’t Let Me Down”.

While these hits followed the traditional formula for an electronic music DJ, that is the DJ creating the beat and melody while a guest singer and songwriter provided the lyrics and voice, the duo is looking to break that mold with their latest single, “Closer”. On “Closer” Andrew provides the vocals and the duo together wrote the lyrics.

Alex Pall and The Chainsmokers are going to continue to make great music and challenge the conventional thought that a DJ should be seen behind the turn-tables but not heard. Their fans are certainly looking forward to this new voice from the group.
